MODZ
Hello everyone, and thank you in advance!
I recently purchased an 02 GT 5 spd. I have installed a Borla S-type cat back, a K&N C/A kit, and a Pro 5.0 shifter. I would like to put a suspension and SBC's on next along with a TFS 70mm throttle body and TFS intake. I need the car to have @ 300 hp and run LOW 13's in the 1/4, NA! There will be no blower on this car..............ever! Maybe a 100 shot bottle when other mods are complete.
I would like to hear any and all suggestions!

No blower...ever...?? Why...?? Anyway, I'd say to get the TFS intake with the twin 57mm inlet as opposed to the single 70/75 mm inlet style. Maybe a set of 3.73 gears. A nice cam (I always hear good things about VT Engines cams). A timing adjuster and good tune. And finish the exhaust with some LT's...

To get 300 hp to the wheels NA is going to take a little bit of work, but nothing too extreme. A set of long tube headers, throttle body, plenum, ignition coils, cams, and a good tune should get you putting down some good numbers. If you do your heads as well, youll be at your 300 hp goal no problem.
you shouldnt rule out a supercharger though. you could run it at only 6 psi and still get the numbers you want.
Don't forget about gears either, while they dont add power, they seriously wake up our cars.

You can supercharger a stock mustang but you need to upgrade the fuel system. if you want to make a lot of power you need to go build the bottom end of the engine.

You can supercharge a stock mustang and upgrade the fuel pump and you will be fine if you stay in the 400-500 hp range. A 255 lph pump with a KB boostapump will handle a good amount of power. Building the bottom end means stronger rods (like 4340 H-beam) and forged pistons. Some like to even spend extra for a forged crank but the cast iron cranks are stronger than people give them credit for. I think they can handle over 600 hp but I wouldn't try to push it much further than that...If you're gonna push 20lbs of boost and a 100 hit then you want a forged unit.
