Default sct x3 or sf3?

so im looking to get a handlheld for my car and im not sure which is better for me, and have a few questions

ok i get that the sf3 aperantly has some preloaded tunes, and can also take custom tunes aswell. and the x3 only takes custom tunes.

how many custom tunes can each hold? id like to have a 100 shot tune, and n/a tune, if not one more for a differant size shot

how much adjustability do i have with each?

as it sits now the car has an o/r x pipe, catback, full suspension, a wet 100 shot, and 4.10s. and im sure in the future ill be looking at getting a plenum, tb, etc etc(yes i realize i wil have to retune for those and im okay with that).

my main concern is the adjustability i have with each, and how many tunes each will hold.

because so far it seems like their identical, besides the fact that one has preloaded tunes on it aswell

fwiw im buying thru AM and will be getting a free tune with it(prolly my nitrous tune)

I just bought the Sniper tuner after heavy recommendations from the guys here who seemt know tuning the most. I highly recommend it. It can hold up to 5 tunes + the stock tune. I think the X3's only hold 3.

You get way more parameters with the Sniper special forces which is like the basic package. You can also upgrade to the Delta force which literally lets you do anything. You can also tune up to 2 different cars with the Sniper and additional ones for $200 more.

The customer support with Sniper is great and they have a forum (snipertuningforumsDOTcom) and you can get people to send you custom tunes.

Also if you read AM's policy carefully I think they say that the "free tunes for life" is only if you buy the upgrades from them.

yea i saw the sniper ****, and 1. cant find it forsale anywhere. and 2. no one here works with it

i figured with sct, worse comes to worse, i take my car 20 min away and get it tuned by performance evolution.

Well if you have dyno tuning in mind then the SCT is probably the only way to go since not many dynos use Sniper.

the interface itself can hold 5 tunes plus the stock tune for a total of 6. you can also store as many tunes as you want on your computer and just load it to the interface when you want to use it.
