Default Misfire in the engine !!!! PLEASE HELP !!!!

MY 2003 GT has been misfiring at idle. I can hear a popping noise in the exhaust. When I raise the rpms to about 1200-1500 I can hear it popping really good. I dont have an engine light yet and was wondering what it could be. Does anyone know???

Check your spark plugs. If they don't look too good then replace them at gap them at .035" If they're fine, check your COP's with an ohmmeter. You should get about 5.5K ohms. You could try cleaning the MAF too if that doesn't help.

I changed all the plugs and checked the coils and its still the same. I also cleaned the MAF and nothing has changed. It has gotten worse over the last few months and the car will not throw a check engine light.

Run the car hard with a full bottle of fuel injector cleaner, then put in a different grade of gasoline for one fill-up.

Sounds like my problem, does it hesitate/stumble in the lower RPMs when you're driving it? How does the misfire sound, fast popping?

Maybe it's in your tune?? Have you changed brands of fuels?? What's your fuel filter's age?? What about average temperatures in your area??

The misfire is a popping sound in the ehxaust at idle and when i got to about 1200 rpm it pops little louder and 1500 is the last rpm range you can hear it.
