some of the benefits of destroking are hi revs, less recipricating mass, easier to add more boost, you have a more usable power band

very true, anyways why would you go with a kb if you want to de-stroke your engine for high rpm blasting? turbo or centri would be alot better for that application. good luck on your build though.

I have always been a fan of roots style blowers and i figure while destroking the motor i can spin it up to peak boost almost as quick as a turbo set up

You do realize with a roots or any positive displacement supercharger you always get full boost, it doesn't take revs at all..

yeah you cant spin the kb over 6k. well i mean you can but youll just mess something up and plus it wont make any power past that.

i never read on kb website when i ordered it that i couldnt rev it over 6500. They say it builds 1 psi higher at 6,000 and i am assuming an on it builds as it revs higher.

I would definitely call and ask before you make a costly assumption. They were built/designed to be used for a 4.6l 2v that doesn't see much rev's above 6-6.5k.

I would like to de stroke the engine but i dont want to destroy my KB. Would I still benefit from de stroking my engine but setting the rev limiter at 6k?
