Default 2000 GT handling/suspension

Not sure if this should go in here or int he 4.6 general so i figured i would try here first.

I have a 2000 GT with less than 50k on the clock never seen a winter, and hardly sees rain. Periodically the car tends to pull/follow the road, and bounce around some. Other times it is straight as an arrow, and then some times its just all over the road. Does anyone elses do this? is it just the nature of the car? I have had it check out and front end aligned and they said its aligned and it doesnt pull. So idk if its something else w/ my car or if they all do that

Thanks

Hmm, my car isn't all over the road but it does follow the road quite a bit.

Check struts and make sure your tires are wearing properly. I'd have that alignment looked at again if it's as bad as you say it is.

hmm, i believe my front and rear tires are teh same size (width wise) could that make it follow the road more? i had it in the shop about two months ago to get new tie rod ends, power steering rack and a few other things, and had it in two times for an alignment, it goes straight as an arrow down a nice paved highway, but when you start hitting bumps or divets or more worn roads it tends to follow

im not exactly sure whats going on, its like it just randomly does it lol

Sounds like your shocks are going bad.

Honestly That sounds like whoever did your alignment pulled too much toe. Do you have an alignment sheet from whoever did the alignment?

What kind and size of tires do you have? Your tread pattern could be more prone to finding and following groves in the road.

Sounds like you're tramlining, only thing I can say is either get smaller/all season front tires or get used to it. The larger the tire/the more performance oriented (high perf tires vs all season tires) the more prone it is to finding and following ruts/grooves in the road. Also to check if your strut is going bad, press down on the front corners of your stang and check for bounce. If the spring goes back to its regular height without much bounce then move on to check the struts shaft for any leaks, if all comes back neg then you're going to need to look elsewhere.
