Default ipod with the ma 460/1000

Is it possible to wire an ipod into the stock mach 460/1000 headunit? I don't want to do the fm transmitter, I'd like to somehow hook the ipod up to some sort of aux input...is this possible? If so what do I need?

yeah but even if you bought a used kenwood, you'd have to buy a wire harness for a mach 460/1000 anyways....which is like 20 bucks. Or you could run all new wires...but then he couldnt use his factory speakers because they're like 6 ohm. Even after all that, he'd still need an ipod aux input cable haha.

he can buy a aux. cable for like 5 dollars at radioshack

65 for kenwood
20 for harness
5 for aux cable
Total: 90 dollars.

Not to mention..come on, it's a aftermarket radio. it'll look and perform much better, he's going to buy that thing from ebay and all he gets is maybe poorer sound quality, and the stock radio is nothing to brag about.

I used an older setup from these guys in my 04 gt. I love it! Way better than FM transponders.

Mine does not. As I mentioned I needed an older setup as I have a 3rd gen Ipod. I just use my old transponder to hold/charge mine. Not too sure if the new setups charge or not, as I do not have one. Email PIE and they will let you know.

Says it's only for 2006-2008 models.

Scosche also makes an FM transmitter that plugs directly into the antennae, allowing you to flip a switch and cut off all radio stations and listen to your ipod directly. Sounds just as clear as AUX or CD. It's only $40 through crutchfield. Myself and another member have it in ours. Fairly easy to install yourself.
