Default CHK ENGINE LIGHT/NO CODE

Has anyone had a chk engine light come on and when you go to chk the code there is no fault. I just put long tubes on w/ mils. Is it possible the mils are bad. How do you chk.
Im reading the code w/ a predator. The chk engine light come on about 30 min after I reset the fault.

I doubt the Predator will pick up an enhanced code. This is more then likely the problem. You have generic and enhanced codes. Cheap OBDII scanners will pick up generics, but not enhanced.

Perhaps it's your gas cap?

I know OBD2a/b Civics have the CEL turn on when the gas cap is missing/not tight enough. (don't ask me how I know this personally)

I've had that and it was just my CAI had loosened off a bit at one of the joints and was leaking air.

Thanks for the info. I got bad info. from someone on LT installs. They said I needed 4 mils. SO I have 4 mils on. I called predator and they stated to remove the front mills and that should solve the problem. What a waste of money. IM sure lesson learned.
If it doesn't go away, Ill chk the other possible issues you suggested. It happened right after the install, so I hope I didn't damage anything running mils up front.
