Default Is this a ripoff?

Sorry to post this here, though it's because I can't post in classifieds yet.

Anyways there is a local car dealer shop around my house, I currently own a 2001 V6 Mustang. The dealer is selling a 2001 Candy Apple Red Mustang GT with black stripes. An X-Pipe no cats, flow40's, a KN Air Intake. It's Auto, carpet seats, charcoal interior, chrome bullit rims, with the mach460 system. The car appears to have no damage at all, no rip seats, no dents and no weird noise when I turn on the car, it's ****ing loud though. No check engine, nothing.

They want 7500 Cash, or 9000 if I do a finance with them. I was thinking about getting a loan, buy the car, and pay off the loan, and just get the car for 7500.

Though the thing is, the car has 120,000 miles. I tried making it lower, but they won't budge.

Anyways is this a ripoff?

Or should I just wait for a lady I met that is wanting to sell her 04 GT to me for 5000. in ****ing good condition. She doesn't answer my phone call so I'm in doubt to her.

Also, it's illegal for a licensed dealer to sell a car with no cats...

Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com) says $8,155 for a 2001 Mustang in excellent condition. Only 5% of all cars fall into this category. That prices varies depending upon zip code.

Walk away and don't look back! That guy is a crook with a capital "C". You should go back and let him know that it's illegal for him to sell a car with no cats just like CliffyK stated. Then ask him what he thinks of that.

If you can't pay cash for it, you don't need to buy it anyway. Keep saving until you can buy one outright.

Let me put it to you this way I got my 04 GT with only 26000 miles on it for 14000 and they gave me 10000 for my 04 v6 stang with 29000 miles on it. Better Deals will follow.
