Can someone explain the difference between single hook and double hook Quadrants?

one has "one' hook and the ladder has "2" hooks for better positioning of the cable.

Yup, guess how many a "triple-hook" quadrant has?

They all requite that you use a firewall adjuster as well, triple hook (and some double hook units) quadrants will let you use the OEM cable instead of requiring an aftermarket adjustable cable. Aftermarket cables are very often compared to steaming piles of excrement, as compared to the stock cable.

Also, be aware that many single hook quadrants are designed to provide a quick-release by changing the contour of the quadrant. This will also increase the amount of pedal effort required.

I have the UPR triple hook quadrant, and their Extreme quick-click adjuster--highly recommended...

This is UPR's "speed release" quadrant.

I believe also the only triple hook quadrant is the UPR unit. The only reason for that is so they could copy steeda and get around there patent by adding a 3rd usless hook.

Kudos to them. I still bought the steeda.....sucks to be me......just go with upr.

Could be, if so good for them--I got their 3-hook quadrant and the quick-click adjuster for $44, call them up and tell 'em that's what you want to pay--they will work with you...

I have the UPR quadrant and adjuster and am quite satisfied. The Steeda double hook is nice as well, but for the adjusters I would stick with UPR or Fiore.

My vote is for the UPR 3-hook and their quick-click firewall adjuster. Call them and ask for a deal...
