Default Question on tires

I blew out a tire the other day and am looking for replacements. I had General Tire Exclaim UHP's. I was thinking about trying out the Avon Tech M500 tires. Has anyone had good/bad experiences with these? How do they compare? I know they are not going to be the greatest tires but for my budget the price is right.

I had general tires before and didn't care for them. Never heard of avon, so remember that you get what you pay for. Break down and get you some decent tires bro.

What size are you looking for and what is your budget?

1. Its about 440 shipped for 245 front and 275's rear full set for some kuhmo ASX's.

Great all season tire and not to shaby on dry traction.

2. Or you could do sumitomo's HTRZ's for 340 shipped, 255 front and 275 rear

Great in the rain, weak dry traction, LAST FOREVER.

This is all assuming you have factory wheels or sizing around them ( 17x8 or 9)

I would do Kumho's over Sumi's. All I have heard/experienced it bad with the Sumi's.

I also prefer the kuhmo's but my 10.5 rear wheel limits my choices.

Ya. I am not a fan of 10.5 wide because of the limited tire choices. I think 17x9 all around is the best set up. For what I want anyway.

BFG for life...

the kumhos i had on one of my other cars had weaker sidewalls than my BFG's, and idk where you live, but here in Florida i was worried about treadlife and wet handling, just look around. the best advice, if its not a big name (i.e. youve never heard them mentioned on this forum) DONT buy their tires.with rubbers you def. get what you pay for.

yeah good all seasons for a decent price BFGoodrich G Force A/S, or if you want an even better all season go Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S. Both tires are good all around and have good treadlife.
