exaust question

H Pipe- Think Rumble. Muscle. Beef.
X Pipe- Think Nascar. Sounds like you're shredding Steel at WOT
Just the way I like it.
If memory serves, H Pipes do not 'flow' above a certain RPM. That is to say, Exhaust no longer splits between both banks via the H. In an X Pipe, each exhuast pulse helps to pull the following pulse behind it, thus creating a lil' extra backpressure.
If this is incorrect, please correct me but I believe I remember having read it on these boards somewhere.

I bought the O/R H-pipe because I chose to go with flowmasters. if you are thinking about buying the X-pipe make sure you don't have a chambered muffler set up (Flows). Alot of guys here prefer the X-pipe over the H-pipe but I wanted that old school 5.0 muscular sound so I chose the H-pipe. Checkout you tube and just type in Mustang exhuast.

performance
I remember reading an article in modified mustangs, that Ford actually researched the whole H vs x pipe deal. The results where that there were no significant gains in terms of picking one over the other. The real diff they found was that of the sound quality, H-pipe rumbles a bit more, while the X-pipe has a higher pitch sound to it.
Im not just pulling this out of my ***, i just dont remember what issue it was.....too many magazines
