Default Seat question....

Hey guys. I have a 2002 mustang with cloth seats. I know where I can get some leather seats from a 1998 Mustang. Will they fit/work, and will wiring have to be re-done? Any wiring diagrams anywhere if so? Also, are the back seats the same? I seached, but there is not alot out there on this topic. I am assuming that the fronts will bolt right in. Your assistance is much appreciated.

The wiring is different but not hard to do, I'm looking at the opposite of yourself putting New Edge seats in a 98

it's not very hard to do, and it will fit.

EDIT: I've not seen 98 seats, but I've taken mine out, and the wiring isn't very difficult to figure out, the stock wiring harness uses pretty standard color coding.

Awesome. Thanks everyone. The wiring is the only part that worries me. Anyone know if the airbags are tied into the seats like the ford trucks are (weight sensitive seats to disable/enable) and if the 98 seats support this if the 02 seats have it? Sorry for the confusion. Just want to make sure that this works out. Thanks!

Not in my 2000 Mustang GT, they aren't. I ran a corbeau seat for quite a while without any electronics, so there shouldn't be anything affecting the airbags. The mustangs aren't that sophisticated . Hell I don't remember there being any wiring going to the passenger seat or seat belt buckel

So my seat deal fell through. Anyone have any leather seats for sale near Chicago, Illinois? More Specifically South Bend Indiana. Did not see any close by in the classifieds. Thanks again!

Too bad you are not closer to me, I'd swap my leather seats (don't like leather but they came with the car) for cloth if they were in comparable condition--my leather seats are 9.5+
