i was going a little fast and when i shifted into third and power shifted into 4th..and when i came to a stop put the shifter in neutral..it seems as if 4th gear is stuck and wont come out of 4th but i can move the shifter around like its in neautral seems like i can go to other gears but it wont engage in that gear..chk the shifter its not broken..when i turn on the car and start to release the clutch the car starts to move..any ideas what could be wrong?

 

Had the same problem in my 98, I broke second and still had to drive it for awhile till i could afford a new trans. But mine got stuck in fourth and would not come out at all so i drove it home that way, and after alot of beating it came out but was fine after that except for the whole not havin second problem. maybe all the shift forks are not aligned? don't know much about them, hope you get it figured out.
