i bought msd ignition coil packs for my 96. I would keep the stock ignition personally until one of your coils go bad. Jegs has an EZ kit which uncludes: MSD 8.5 wires, 2 coil packs, and 8 NGK plugs. That ran me $320.

With your mods you may notice some difference in performance, but most likely you may gain .5mpg... or your car will start easier.

Personally I wouldnt bother

when it comes to the coil packs it cheaper to get the msd ones than it is to go to a parts store and but new replacments (all 8). but i would wait till one goes bad before i spent the money

Stock COP's are just fine. Most will tell you that the only time you will benefit from aftermarket COP's are when you are running a high HP car

the jegs kit will not work for your 02 stang, you stang doesnt use 2 coil packs or wires. you have 8 coils. i got them (msd) and notice no difference on how my stang runs or any change in the plug color and my coils have been in there since 99. if you coils are bad, then it wouldnt hurt, but i would just replace the one that is bad from another stang. a friend of my install the gms c.o.p.'s on his 07 gt and no difference either, he is running spray, cams, full exh, gears, and cai. its up to you though. with that $350 id get an intake plenum with 75mm tb to get better breathing from you cams.

Stock coils are pretty good pieces. Like said above, if one goes bad and you can't find a used set somewhere, then get them - just to make the engine bay look prettier.
