Default EGR Valve

Is it possible to completely eliminate the EGR valve? I cracked the green vacuum tube and fixed it with a piece of polypropelyne tubing but that is just a temporary fix. The tubing is brittle and I'm sure when I'm detailing the engine I'll crack it again. There is also a red vacuum tube. Can that also be eliminated?

Cheap and easy... Do it, just get a tuner to turn off the code.
