Default Question!

I have a 2000 Mustang Gt 4.6 L convertible. When I drive it I hear a loud squeaking noise coming from outside of the car. I dunno where from and what to do to fix it. Any opinions and ideas to fix it? Also my convertible leaks in the back. Not much, but enough to make a sloshing noise when I make sharp turns. It bothers me, and I'm always afraid I might get a mildew problem or something. Any ideas for that also?

You'd really need to isolate where the sound is coming from for anyone to help you out.

I think it may be the shocks. Thats the only thing that make since. Because it only squeaks like that when I hit a bump of some sort. It can be any slight bump too.

A squeak could be any number of things..sometimes they are very elusive to track down. Don't just go replacing parts unless you know they are the culprit. Could be your control arms?? just a thought.

Mine squeaked pretty decently not too long ago, it was a tie rod. Does it squeak when you move the steering wheel left or right or is it a constant squeel?

could be tie rods, balljoints, spring isolators, etc etc. take the front wheels off and start messing with stuff. you will find it eventually

Not to be a smassace or anything, but you drive a convertible new edge. You might want to get used to squeaks...

Also check out rack bushings. They can get squeaky after a while.

It seems like it squeaks when I hit any slight bump.
