Default 4.6 2v or 4.6 3&4 valve block diff.

Hey guys, I'm new to this and you probably have been asked a lot but can you put a 3 or 4 valve head on a stock 2v motor? What is the difference? I have a 2002 GT 4.6 2v.

Odds and ends like external but not internal like different pistons? Does the timing cover have diff bolt pattern and stuff like that?

You'll have to use the timing cover and front accesories for which ever head you put on it. the compression ratios differ if you use a 2v block too. 4v heads on a 2v block = lower compression than a 4v shortblock with 4v heads. idk which way it goes when 3v heads are used.
