Having the V6 appearance with the GT rims and a SOHC 281 would be a really fine sleeper. I love sleepers.</P>
you should look into the formula firebird like i'm trying to do...good sleeper...looks like a sixer firebird, runs like hell (or a Trans Am...same thing...)</P>
If I get an Fbody it'll be a 98-99 Z28 or Base Trans Am. LS1s only. I'm picky. but Fbodies were ruined for me by the ace holes at www.f-bodyhideout.com. I got banned for having an opinion about sport compacts and how Fbodies aren't the king of the road. (even though I like them too)</P><edited><editID>own3dbyyou</editID><editDate>37928.0386458333</editDate></edited>
i wish i could actually say mine...they seem common enough at a good price and decent mileage that eventually a somewhat local one will pop up on autotrader. </P>
[edit] TOO MANY AUTOS! <IMG src=smileys/smiley21.gif border="0"> every time i find a good one under 5-6k within like 200 miles its a damn auto!</P><edited><editID>Jugador</editID><editDate>37928.0421412037</editDate></edited>
yeah...tell me if this makes sense</P>
"i'm going to buy a performance vehicle, but i don't want it to actually be fun, i just want to be able to jam on it and not think about it"</P>
ok...i just think they're a wreck waiting to happen...</P>

I agree. BUT...if you get the ET running itch, you will never break 9s with a 6 sp LS1. I've seen it so many times. all M6 LS1s will run a low low ten, but won't ever break into the nines.</P>

Yep. But A4s have more time to pull the car in each gear and have a lower top end speed. (longer gearing, but doesn't emphasize running the car at 200 mph) Therefore they're better for drag racing at the track. That outweighs the 5 hp more you lose through the A4 over the M6.</P>
If you want top end though, get an M6. </P>
