mistake during lowering
so last night i installed my shocks/struts/and lowering springs, well the front only about to go finish the back. I went and read a how to just for kicks (afterward of course) and i realized i did not align the new coils like the stock ones were in place. Will this greatly affect anything, I dont see how. Ill do the rear ones right but will i have to take the front apart again and redo it. I have a coil spring compressor could i just jack the front up compress it and twist it into place?

Jack the car up and set it on jack stands, remove the caliper and abs wire. Put a jack under the spring perch on the a-arm, and jack up the arm to put tension on the spring. Unbolt the top strut nut, and let the jack down. Rotate the spring until it seats properly in the cup and jack the arm back up. Put everything back together, and your done.

Yeah, the springs need to be seated in the correct spots or the car will sit lopsided.
For both the rear springs the pig tails should go to the left. Not sure on the fronts without looking at my Haynes manual.

well everything seems great the car actually sits almost perfect there is 2 3/4" of fender gap on 3 corners and the right rear is at 2 7/8" close enough for me. a great improvement stock was 3 7/8" of fender gap all the way around we'll see if it settles anymore.

Yea some may laugh but i went with a very budget minded set up, not for lack of funds just for lack of me never pushing the car to its limits, yet still lowering it the "proper way". I went with the stang suspension lowering springs and gabriel ultra shocks and struts. Which by the way Cliffy is right all the numbers matched up to my buddys Tockicos exact dimensions and all. Huge improvement over stock the ride is great traction did suffer but thats expected. Ill post pics soon I left my camera at my parents place, overall very satisfied for a $300 setup.
