Default might have tranny problems

I am wondering if i might be having some tranny problems on my car. It is a 2000 gt with 83000 miles. I have noticed latley that is seems harder and harder to change gears. I dont know if this could be bad tranny fluid or a clutch going out or what. The first to second shift is the worst of all. It seems like there is a point in the middle of the shift were i have to apply more force to get it into second. The car has always had "notchy" shifting, but it seems like it is getting worse. I have had the car for almost three years now and i have never really beat on it at all. Also, when i go from 1st to 2nd i can hear a "thunk" or a knock that comes during the hard part of the shift.. Like i said, it never been a smooth shifting car by any means, but it seems like it might be getting a little worse. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Sounds like it could be synchros.
If you hold it at the "hard" part of the shift, in between gears, do you hear a grind?
Mine does this on the 1-2 shift only when it's cold but it's pretty common on the 3650's and you have a T-45.

No, no real grinding noise at all. It just seems as you go from first into neutral is the hard point and then into second. If you imagine shifting from 1st to 2nd, the hard point would be at nuetral. I dont get why it does this.. 3rd to 4th is mostly really smooth...4th to 5th can be a little hard sometime too...
