Default 2v head- 4v head

I have a 04 GT and was wondering if you can bolt on a set of stock 3v or 4v heads onto your motor. Have any of you guys done this and what all is involved? Is better to just go to an after market head? I would think you could pick up the stock heads for a lot cheaper then aftermarket and still get good power.

What about the new Trick Flow heads for the 2v Mustang? I've read not only here but a couple more sites that they are suppose to be the 2v GT's savior. I was all set on buying those but decided to go with a S/C.

a stock 3v head flows what they do stock i believe and can flow over 300cfm ported. id go 4v but why when a 3v flows slightly less and only have to spend half the price on cams and valvetrain.

i read that its harder to do a 3v swap then a 4v swap on a GT because the 3v swap requires you to do extensive work to the electronics/wiring harness/ or even completely change the ECU. can anyone confirm this? i dont see how its easier to go from SOHC to DOHC than vise versa

for the 3v engines im pretty sure you need an ECU from an 05 or newer because they are variable timing engines like a V-TEC and the 96-04 ECU is not able to do that. check out my write up i just did to see how to do the DOHC swap if you choose to go that route.
