Default Major running problem

Hi guys i'm kind of new to this site. I have a 1996 mustang GT (the mods list is below.) It had been running good for quite some time. All of a sudden it came up with a b1s1 O2 problem and it would run rough at low RPMs. It also went from 280mi. a tank to less than 175. so I replaced the proper oxygen sensor. I cleared the codes and ran the car for about another thousand miles without any problems and I recovered my fuel mileage. B.T.W. my car has O2 emulators because it has no CATS. After that thousand miles it started acting up again so I pulled the codes and sure enough it was the same codes that pointed to the same O2 sensor. I warrantied it out and it was fine again for about 200 miles and it was back to running like sh*t and eating fuel. Again it came up with low voltage B1S1 and B1S1 too lean. It is even acting like an O2 does on a ford when it goes bad but there is no way that both are defective. Does anyone have any experience with this problem? Also does the O2 rely on a groung reference through the exhaust pipe? Any help would be greatly apreciated. Thanks in advance -BRIAN

I have had this happen to me too. I replaced all the O2 sensors and still had the codes. Then I got my Predator tuner and switched off the back two O2 sensors (the ones with the MILs) and it ran like a charm. So the MILs may have gone bad. Try taking them off and see if that may help.
