1 min after racing a camaro the check engine light flashed 10 times, then a little after that i got on it again and a min after that it blinked 10 times again, wtf could this be?? I know when the light "flashes" its not good, the car just came out of the dealer today but they did nothing to the engine, my mods are below.

My CEL come on and was flashing in my GT. Come to find out that some how or another when I washed the engine at the carwash that water got into the coil packs and actually seeping through the threads of the spark plugs and into the cylinder causing major problems. I pulled all the spark plugs after reading the code, took a wet/dry vac and sucked all of what ever I could suck out of the cylinders and replaced the plugs. LOL It ran great afterwards and the light never come back on.

That is from your cars engine misfiring, it talks more about the cause for the CEL to be blinking in the owners manual.

Hope this helped, good luck

They will not void your warranty unless they can prove your timing adjust or UDPs are to blame. A timing adjuster? Is it mounted on the harmonic balancer? If it came loose and is not balanced it will give you a blinking CEL. The blinking CEL pertains to a severe misfire. Pop the hood and look at the Crank Pulley, if it's wobbling when the light blinks, there's your problem. If not, it could be a loose wire on a coil pack or a fuel injector. You should get a code scanner and see what comes up when it blinks. I have an Equus OBDII scanner and it works awesome!

Well, what the computer says is a 'bad' misfire and what you feel is a bad misfire are two different things. If you're not feeling anything, then it's probably the Crank pulley or loose connector somewhere and it's fooling the computer. Check out the crank pulley with someone reving the engine and check all your connections to the Fuel injectors and spark plug coils.

Again, get a code scanner too it may give you more info and lead you to what is causing the blink.
