Default is this possible??

THere is a guy at my work that claims that he runs a 13.1 quarter mile time with his 04 GT 5 speed. all that he has on his car is a CAI, Bassani x-pipe with no cats flowmasters, BFG Drag Radials, and a tune. i seen him run 3 14.1's but he says that he ran a 13.1 with those mods. i dont want to call him a liar but i have a little doubt in the back of my head. what do you guys think.

Low 13's without gears. I don't think so. I have far more mods then that I only expect to be in the mid to low 13's, and that's with a killre 60ft.

I ran my best so far of 14.1 last year with just an exhaust and a crappy track.

The best stock 99-04 GT, only can run 13.8 and that is with beating it close to death and extra weight removed (spare, jack, etc.)

i would want to see the timeslip LOL.

It's doubtful that he picked up a full second from the times you saw him run.

If you saw him run three 14.1's, then what was his excuse for not running the 13.1 that he is claiming? Bad day at the track?

That guy doesnt know anything about cars!!!! May he could run a 13.1 with those mods in an LS1, but not in a 46! I hate to say it, but our motors arent gonna do that!!

I had every bolt-on possible on my '02 GT. You name it and I had it. My best run was a 13.02 @ 105 and 13.07 @ 105 and both with 1.89 short time. There is no way possible for him to turn a 13.0 without a lot more work done.

i know im the fist one to say this, but i do think it's possible...slicks and a really good tune will put you in the mid 13's and maybe he just had a great day launching. It's far fetched, but it IS possible (especially if his car is tubbed out).
