Headers are the most difficult part of the whole exhaust system to install. I'd wait til you have money for Heads and Midpipe... Saves you time and money.

An o/r mid pipe will sound really good with what you have right now. Adding long tubes will quiet the car down until WOT. The install price on long tubes is not cheap. Go for the mid pipe right now and save your cash for the lt's later.

headers are a very hard to install, i had my car down for a whole weekend when i did mine. I had to drop the whole K-member when i did mine, i really wish i took pictures *kicks self*. Well, anyways, between the two id say the O/R H, i love mine!

When i do my head swap in the spring, i'm going to do a write up on it and lots of pictures!

shorties are not worth it for the pain of isntalling....save up and get LTs.... do LTs and midpipe at the same time, with a catback or weld ins if that breaks the budget

Don't waste your time on shorties. Just go all out n do longtubes.

you dont have to drop the k memeber for shortie headers or lt. it does make it easier for long tube. but to answer your question, mid pipe would probably be better since its a much quicker swap to do.
