Default t350?

will a t350 tranny bolt up to a ford 8.8 rear end? thats just a curiosity question, and the real question is.. will an 07 gt rear end 8.8 fit on the 99-04 models? i found one w/ 3.73's installed for $100 is that a good deal and will it fit in my 03?

The size of the rear-end is not relative to the trans itself. It is the driveshaft that is inbetween the two that has to adapt.

The S197 rear axle will NOT work as you are talkin' a 4 link to a 3 link suspension system.

HTH (hope that helps... NOT hurts )

yea it helps a lot thanks ive had a few ideas as to what i actually want to do but its obvious building a cobra w/ mustang body will be easier than dropping an ls2 in it... but i thought it would be cool its str8 tho ill have to research a bit more.. if anyone has put an ls2 in a mustang, some info on how to do it easiest would help but if not then cobra motor will be the way to go.

You can easily do the TH-350 tranny in the car. Crossmembers are readily available (AJE) and obviously the bellhoisings are made for the LS motors. Take your stock driveshaft and have it shortened and the right yokes on it. Shouldn't really cost that much.

The LS motor would be even easier. AJE makes that kit too. A freaking kick *** Kmember with some trick LS mounts for like $319. Literally take out your motor/kmember and put in the new kmember and the LS will directly bolt in with 2 bolts.

These guys have everything you need. Call and talk to them.
