Talking Service Engine Soon - Code PO460

Hi,
The other night i filled my gas tank with exxon gas, which is what i always use as i think it is a high quality gas. Anyways the next morning i drove to work no problems at all. I got off work started my car and my gas guage went all the way down to empty and my service engine soon light came on. Freaked out i pulled over and turned my car off and checked the oil level. Oil level was fine and gas guage reseted back to Full when i started the car back up, but the service engine soon light was still active. Other that the light the car drove like it always have. Nothing out of the ordinary.

I took it to auto zone today and got code PO460. The dude reset it and I have drove it about 3 times now from a cold engine to a running state. No problems at all. SO my question is "Is this just a fluke malfunction and should I not have to worry about anything?" or "should i replace my fuel pump when my paychecks allow as an assurance of the fuel pump taking a **** on me again?"

Thanks and any feedback is GREATLY appreciated! MF is my #1 site for any info and you guys have always rocked! Btw as an update got part after part i'm about to put on the stang. From shocks/struts to lowering springs as well as chrome saleens coming on very soon. I'll post pics finally

Thanks Again,

-Chris-

I believe it's your fuel sensor and not your fuel pump. If it's off now, i wouldn't worry about it.

P0460--Fuel Level Sensor A
Circuit Malfunction

most likely not the pump, the fuel level sensor or the wiring. if it was me i would wait for it to happen again and then change the level sensor.
