When you lower your car you should get better traction. As long as you have the right suspension and sometimes you need to get caster camber plates for the front but i heard w/ some kits you dont need them. Also a big help from launch traction is Lower control arms. Also if your running street tires dont i wouldnt suggest launching over 2500. I use to launch around 3k and just spun, so know i launch a lil over 2k w/ my cooper zpt tires and its not to bad.

NO NO No, 99% of the time you will hurt traction when you lower a car, unfortunatly unless you want to spend a ton of money , you will kind of need to pick one or the other. Here is what you want to do. Upper and lower control arms and a set of drag radial tires. Drag launch kits are nice but generally you will give up some handling. Do what I said and you will be able to cut a 1.8x 60' time.
