Default Boost and A/F

My friend gave me his gauge pod with Electric Autometer Boost and A/F gauges. All that I have is the pod and the gauges themselves along with a bunch of wires. My question is What else do I need? In essence, what am I running the wires to in order to get the readings? I'm pretty sure I can figure out the wiring for the power but I'm clueless about the rest of it.

What kind of a/f gauge is it narrow or wide? What kind of boost gauge is it electric or mech?

The gauges are electric. I think the A/F is wide... I'm not sure though, is there a way to tell?

Here is a decent writeup for a boost gauge install. I know yours is electric but this may still help. In the article it uses fuse number 37 to tap into the light source for the gauge. I did this and the gauge light comes on with parking or headlights which is nice.

For the A/F gauge look up the instruction manual on autometer's website it should help with the install.

For the gauge lights use the white/blue wire coming out of the headlight switch so you can dim the gauges with the dash lights. For 12v power use the empty fuse slot for the convertable top. If its a narrow band a/f guage then don't bother installing it. T into the vavuum lines for the boost reference.

I may do that too I have a fuse tap in #37. I can dim the gauge lights with the headlight switch now but fuse taps are kind of rigged.

Thanks for the replies. But I know there's stuff that I'm missing, I know I must need some kind of sensor for the gauges to wire to. All i have are the gauges and wires. What kind of sensors do I need that will input into the gauge?

Who makes the gauges ? Did you try looking for an application guide on the manufacturer's web page. If its auto meter, they have application guides on their page.

you will need to find a boost pressure sending unit in order for that boost gauge to work.

The A/F gauge should hook up to the O2 Sensors after the cats or near the end of the headers.
