headlight knob help!!!

Default headlight **** help!!!

i am trying to remove the gauge cluster in my 97 gt. in my haynes manual it says use small screwdriver to depress the retaining clip. i have been depressing all day and cant figure it out. can someone tell me how to remove the headlight switch **** please??? thanks.

you really have to press hard on that retaining clip and then just pull. if you think that is hard have fun getting the **** back on right.

just push and pull and hope that nothing breaks it probably won't but its a 97 so theres still parts to fix it

I took mine off several times before I replaced it. Never had a problem. I used a hooked pick. Just kinda pull up/out on the clip while you pull out on the ****. Never took more than one try, but never tried it with a screwdriver, though...

I just pryed mine very carefully. My **** wore out so I got a dressup one from UPR. It came w/ a tool to remove the stock one(which for me was worn out) and to install the new one. I think it may have been a tiny allen wrench or something.

I just used a thin flat blade screwdriver and not depress it but pulled the light **** out while also trying to pull up on the clip. Real easy, just a couple of seconds, putting on ....well that's a piece of cake.
