Default manifold leak...questions

the drivers side header leaks like a bitch on my car where the x bolts up to it. is there any kind of gasket or something that can go in there? i know it's like a "ball and socket" type flange and that its not flat like the passenger side. but if not what can i use as a gasket to seal it up a little better? atleast temporarily

when i installed my X it leaked too, turns out the factory "shouldered" studs weren't allowing a tight enough seal between the X and manifold. so i replaced them with a stud kit from napa. some mid pipes mate up just fine and some dont, i guess it depends on the manufacturer

Yes.. Its a 50/50 shot of getting them out, or busting them off flush having to drill for hours.

The key is to use heat, but you have to make sure you heat JUST the manifold, and keep the stud from getting too hot. You get the stud hot, and it'll snap off/

I believe you can match up one of those white "donuts" in there... may work, may not work...
