Default Throttlebody/ Plenum Question

Hey guys.
I put a 70mm Accufab tb and plenum on my car last night. I had a hell of a hard time taking the tps off the stock tb but i got it off. When i put everything on the new parts and put it on I noticed my revs are holding more and its idling higher. Also after driving it and shutting it off and turning it back on i throw codes. Not sure the code yet. Any imput would help.
Thanks
-Brian
I should add its a 04 gt and i have 18k miles. and my only other mods are a cai and a cat back.

Did you disconnect the battery for a while to clear the KA memory after installing the tb and plenum?

You could have messed up the TPS sensor when you took it off. Also, do a search for hanging RPM's with the Accufab throttle body they are infamous for this problem it seems like it is hit or miss. Do you have a code reader? If so post them up.

P.S Make sure you have connected everything back together correctly.

yeah like i said im pretty sure its the tps. I dont know why they used phillips heads with some sort of loctite. I mean my cars in great condtion and yeah like it wasnt comming off. Then when i put it on the accufab and took it back off it literally fell appart in 5 pieces or so in my hand and i reassembled it. Ill check the code and worst case a new tps is 28 bucks at advance auto.
and yeah everythings connected right.
thanks.

I just put in my 75mm PP tb, and to get my TPS off I just used a dremel and cut the screws just below the plastic of the sensor lol. Lost a little of the plastic but I just sanded it flat and worked just perfectly. I knew ahead of time that they were loctited so I just decided to cut them to begin with and not risk damaging the sensor.

A new sensor should be about $35 at your local parts store. Call them before hand and make sure they have it in stock. Stick it in and unplug the battery again, wait 10 mins, reconnect and then start your car and let it idle for 10 mins or so. It will be pretty rough at first but it should sort itself out after 10 mins. If it doesn't then you need to check codes and consider adjusting your throttle position screw. Here is a writeup on how to do that if you need to.

^^ replace the ***** with stang

Good luck and nice mileage! I wish mine was still that new lol

It's not the TPS sensor and it's not the learned memory... You changed the rate/flow of air and now your Decay rate is fooked up. You'll need a tune.
