my transmission hisses, sounds like an exhaust to me but the exhaust shop guy said it was coming from my tranny -goes away when its warm


try adjusting your clutch

mine feels kinda notchy sometimes but not all the time like when i take it up to 4000 rpms but dont shift hard.

Its the nature of the beast man... 3650s have been plagued with shift issues and synchro issues since day one.

When you say "squeeks" what exactly go you mean? Squeeks when shifting into the gear, releasing the clutch, or just driving steady throttle?

so why is it your putting atf (automatic transmission fluid) in a manual tranny? guess i learned something new

on my 2003 its does the same thing, i changed the clutch cable and put a firewall adjuster, sometimes it feels "dry" and sometimes it acts perfect what should i do?

hmmmmm, because thats what Ford calls for in most of its manual transmissions.

sounds more of something being "dry" hear it when i release clutch



anyone with this problem got ballpark #s on what it's going to cost to fix?
