So last night, as I left work, I started my car, engaged the brakes and tried to throw the transmission into drive. (It's automatic) The locker button wouldn't engage. The car had started, but the transmission was a no-go. It wouldn't cooperate. I ended up shutting the car off, throwing the transmission into neutral and starting it like that.

This morning, however, I didn't get the same problem. I did get a little resistance with that button on the transmission but it did engage. However, the whole time I was driving to the tire place, I heard a clicking of sorts, kinda like my blinker. It wasn't the blinker and none of my status lights were blinking. I couldn't figure out what it was.

AND THEN. I got to the tire place and I turn the key back to shut the engine off, but it wouldn't shut off. I tried turning the key all the way forward to see if it would grind and it did. I ended up using the remote ignition to turn the car off.

I'm lost. I don't know what's wrong. Could this just be the ignition lock?
