Default Strut/Shock/Coilover Question

My next step is struts/shocks. In the long run, I want to go to coilovers. So I want to make sure that the struts/shocks I pick now will be compatible for coilovers later.

Vehicle usage: 90% street beast, 5% drag, 5% track.

Front:

I definitely want adjustable struts in the front. I've read good things about the Dspecs but then I also heard some have had problems with the eyelet on the strut failing because of the load of coilovers. Any thoughts on that?

My other option for struts are the QA1 struts. A tad more expensive but setup to be converted to coilovers.

Rear:

Do I need adjustable rear shocks or would a set of Bilsteins be just as good?

Does anyone make a coilover conversion for the Dspec and QA1 rear shocks? I know MM makes a coilover conversion for the Bilsteins.

Thanks for the input. All the research is making my head spin.

I'd go with strabge10ways. They might just be the best adjustable strut and are priced great.they get as loose as 90/10s and tight enough were they're almost locked down, with 10 settings you WILL be able to set them perfectly. Strange also has a nice coillover kit u can use with them.

I have the Strange 10ways. They're a bit noisy, but they work nicely. I wouldn't say the best adjustable shock/strut, but definately the best for the budget. But I don't know of anyone making a rear coilover kit that fits them.

I have the 10 ways waiting to be installed ( got em at Summit), what do you mean they are noisy? Like creaky? Is it bad enough that you wouldnt install them again?

It's not bad enough that I would never install them again, nothing the radio won't fix.

Anyone ever heard of the Dspecs failing when used as coilovers?

How beneficial is rear adjustability?
