As some of you know my IAC is floating...so my idle is way up for rolling and stopped idle...i cleaned it but it didnt do jack, i found this restrictor for 11 bucks shipped, will this work or hsould i just bite the bullet and get a new IAC?

yes they work i made my own tho
just buy some gasket material and put a small hole in it and you will be fine
if the car wont stay running make the hole a little bigger

i had one on my and it set off check engine codes if you want the iac on i think i still have my old one that was installed for like 1000 miles you can have for like a buck

It will not fix the IAC if that's what you are asking, and would likely make the idle worse...

The restriction mechanically limits the air-flow through a working IAC so as to make the idle drop faster between shifts--there are a number of "dashpot" settings in the tune that can do this as well--and better...

A better way to make this mod is the use a 1/2" copper pipe cap, drill a hole in it (start at 17/64"), and then stick it into the feed tube to the IAC. It does the same thing and is much easier to tinker with than the gasket.
