Default keyless entry blinking fogs

i have a 2004 GT that i just installed HID fogs on. I know the mod to keep your fogs on with your high beams, but i would like to know if there is one to stop your fogs from blinking when you press the lock button twice on your remote? Does pressing it twice do anything more than pressing it once? Is it just a confirmation that your doors are locked, or does anti-theft get triggered or something to go on?

Why would you want to stop your lights from blinking? The horn chirp and blink is just a basic confirmation that the car is locked and armed. Its not any different than hitting the lock button once.

The HIDs in my fogs blinking on and off everytime i lock the car will burn them out in no time. Someone told me that pressing it once locks the doors and pressing it twice arms the anti-theft system. I was hoping for some kind of fix to stop them from blinking, i know i can depress the fog light button every time i get out of the car, but i have an issue with my button and it doesn't depress.

yea, okay so i guess no one knows, how about anyone know how to fix the button issue? I need to press the button like 5 times for it to register to shut off the green light that tells u ur fogs are on. If i hold it pressed the light shuts off. Its like getting stuck i guess. or is there a spring i can replace?

Here's a link to the wiring diagram for the GEM controlled parking light "blip" when locking the car--cut the brown wire between the parking light relay and the main light switch to disbale the "blinking o' the lights" when locking the car.

You may also be able to just unplug the parking light relay. It's a PITA to get at, right behind (forward oof) the underdash fuse block--pull out the seat, stand on your head, and use a mirror...
