Default Speed Control Issue

i just bought a new IAC for my 97 cobra so i can pass emissions becasue it said MANF. Speed Control.....so i figd it was that...adn it wasnt, i need to pass emissions in the next week, then i can finally put on my o/r x....if anyone has any diea, i have cleared the code 4 times tried everything plugging it up with a diff gasket..it just wont work, my car idles at 1800 rpms in neutral when i go down hills and such, and at a stop light it is at 1k rpms but take sa few seconds to get down there....does anyone have any idea how to fix this? it is super annoying and i just put the car in 5th dwon hills cause its a lower rpm..tryin to save some gas with these 4:10s...ahah thanks in advance

Have you tried the TPS sensor yet?

NO, i did not, that is a good idea, i didnt think those ever went bad, so i will be getting one by tomorrow. i'll keep you posted, if that doesnt work i am open to more ideas...

My car was doing the same thing about two weeks ago... buying a Tps fixed my problem..Good Luck hope that fixes it for ya.
