Default Splitter?

i just wanted to know what yall guys think about Splitters. I personally like them i think they really make the car stand out and kind of a cheap way without buying a whole body kit? I know a chin spoiler is a cheaper way to go and thats probally why everyone seems to have a chin spoiler. Splitter to ricey??? (was looking at steedas site)

yea those are a little more tame. i kinda like the cobra r splitter. Do you think there would be a clearance issue with it tho i know im not the first person in the world to lower the their car but my front sits pretty low i think.

cobra R

I like the splitters, not rice at all! You might or might not have clearance issues with the Cobra R splitter. Keep in mind that the Cobra R in the pic already has a 1.5 drop. Just depends on where you drive I guess, and how low your car is already. I would guess that you would only have about a 4-5 in. clearance from the road with the spoiler on. It would suck if you hit a curb or something with the splitter you'd have a lot of paint and body work on your hands though. I think the mach1 chin spoiler is popular for that reason, it's not to big, plus it won't break if you bump something, and because it's cheap and doesn't need paint. I just bought it for that retro look. Anyway, good look

yea thats the reason why id get a chin spoiler cheap and does a pretty nice job of giving the front a good look, plus if you did hit a curb and ruined it you wouldnt lose a bunch of money. im thinking about getting the cobra r splitter as you can tell and i have a 1.25" drop in the front so i guess it wont be to bad.

Splitters are nice but if you live where i live Virginia all there is, is speed bumps, dips, huge pot holes your splitter will be murdered. This kid at my school has m3 with carbon fiber lip 1st week cracked it, bought a new one cracked it. Some people never learn...

i have the mach 1 splitter on my gt and it is sitting on the stock suspension, and i bottomed out alot when i first got it. it makes your approach angle much smaller. but i have gotton used to it and im very careful now. i believe that the steeda and cobra r splitters hangs much lower so you will bottom out more. but the look awesome!!!!!

The splitter could only be rice if you don't paint it right, or you add on little carbon fiber winglets.

I've got the steeda front splitter. It does make a difference at higher speeds, much smoother now. I recommend it. However the bottom of it will scrape alot. Since noone can see the bottom, it doesn't really matter but there is no way of avoiding the occasional scrape. I do not recommend significantly lowering the car or driving it anywhere near snow as it becomes a plow.
