Mach 1 Numbers!
Does anyone have any numbers on a Mach 1... I want to know some 1/4 mile times from your experience....Dont tell me what you heard they "should" run.. If you have one or have seen one run at the track...How did it do..I'm looking for some 5-speed times...Thanks..... I'm looking to get an orange 2004 Mach 1 as I can get it for upper $24,000

Yeah, thats what I hear but I want #'s from actual experience... My car ran 13.7 before the timing adj and the ported intake so I'm trying to decide if its worth it</P>

Go to www.mach1registry.com You'll find all kinds of times...theadverage time I'd say from the Mach 1 list is 13.20 @104 Adverage hp numbers are around 270rwhp and 317lbs torque IIRC...There are reports of stock Mach 1's with DR's turning high 12's....check the site out, it's pretty kewl...

GO AHEAD and join Mach1 forums, and you will see members posting ET SLIPS of their BONE STOCK Mach1's running 13.0-13.2. The car has 325 ponies, along with a suspension that is drag strip ready, quit fighting it already and do some research before you speak.</P>

Ahhh...not sure exacally if your posting is directed at my post or what? AND also not sure what your beef is as it seems you might think that the "research" was some how incorrect? What specific research are you talking about? I refered Black Horse to www.mach1registry.com to find information. I was "quoting" as best I could from the hundreds of posts in the Mach 1 forum about Black Horse's questions. It seems that FORD has underated the Mach 1's hp figures, as many are getting higher dyno hp than what FORD advertises...305hp at the crank.I hope I was pointing him in the right direction. By no means was I trying to flame on!!

There's been a few members here arguing with me about the Mach1's capabilities, and you are correct..Ford HAS underrated the Mach1 HP ratings, it's actually 325hp at the crank. </P>

OK..kewl..no worries, was kinda wondering what was up wit dat post <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley2.gif border="0"> BTW..got in my first real race today against my friends IROC Z/28..it's a legit 13.25 modded chebby,,, I waxed him <img border="0" src=smileys/smiley17.gif border="0"> from dead stop..beat him by 2 car lengths...
