Default HID HELP

I have hids for both the fogs and headlights. so here is my problem i had my passenger light go out come to find out it was the ballast the blew. So i returned the ballast and got a new one. i installed the ballast and turned the *** and the light went on and it turned on purple have no clue why. the color should of been blue like the rest. i ask the company and they said they never heard of that. then with i was puting the heading light back in the light turned off. i thought it was blowed again transered everything over to the other side and it came on so its good. so then i took of everything and installed a regular buld nothing transered it to the other side and it came on. so what am asking is
1. what makes the color i thought it was the bulb but from this experience i think it might be the ballast but everything matches on the ballast
2. is there a fuse that handles each light or did i fray the wires or plug.

thanks any clue whats going on

1) the color of the bulb depends on the temp of the bulb. Larger the number the less bright the bulb is and the more pink/purple it gets.
2) there is only 1 fuse for the headlamps.

Are you sure you have them wired correctly? Can you take a pic of your wiring setup?

I had a problem like this a few years ago on my maxima. It did end up being a frayed wire. Some of the juice was being lost from the ballast so the bulb wasn't recieving enough power to ignite the proper color. The ballast ended up being no good after that either but i think that may have just been a coincidence in my case.
