Exclamation PROPER SETTINGS PLEASE ! ! !

Ok so this is my THIRD time going back to the shop to have my whine go away from the new 4.10's that were installed. I bought brand new ones again ( the shop is reimbursing me ) i got the ones from American Muscle.com the FRPP ones. They installed the first set at .008 and they whined so i went back and they set it tighter to .004 and now its unbearable. I am driving down to North Carolina for the 4th of July and i need to know what I need to tell this guy to set my car at and everything. Please Help me out!

Make sure whoever is doing it pays attention to the pinion bearing preload specs for either a new or used bearing.

Torque Specs SAE

Pinion Bearing Pre-load, new 16-29 in/lbs.
Ring gear bolts 70-85 ft/lbs. (in stages)
Main bearing bolts 70-85 ft/lbs.
Pinion shaft lock bolt 15-30 ft/lbs.
Driveshaft bolts 80-90 ft/lbs.
Gear Setup
Backlash .008-.015 “

theres more to setting up a set of gears than just backlash , does the idiot have the pinion depth right ?....is the contact pattern right ?....you better get to someone that knows what they're doin !!....and now that you been driving for so long with them set up wrong and whinning like crazy , theres a chance that even when they're right they still may whine....you better get away , and STAY AWAY from this person

once a set wines 90% of the time they will always wine cause the gears will actually
machine themselves in the improper setting which will stay and cause wining with whatever setting they do to them
you most likely need a new set of gears i would make the guy that installed them buy you a new set cause he f'ed up
