Default Problems with Idle while operating A/C and Defrost

Hi guys pretty much ever since I got my 2000 mustang gt i have been having problems with the air conditioning and defrost. Whenever i turn on either the air conditioning or the defrost the idle starts jumping. The A/C used to blow cold air but still the idle would jump up and down and now it doesnt even blow cold air. I have already tried replacing the Idle Control motor but $92 bucks later and it still doesnt work. The only reason i tried to replace the idle control motor was because my friend and brother were having similar problems and they replaced their idle control motor and then their A/C systems worked fine. I guess im just the unlucky one. Thanks in advance for the help.

Its your AC recycling switch. They're about 20 bucks at the stealership. Just saved you a boat load of cash

I ended up replacing the compressor, lines, accumulator, and freon, and it STILL didn't fix it. Then I replaced the AC recycling switch, boom, 20 bucks, fixed.

The switch sits right on the accumulator(big cylindrical thing next to the firewall). Its got a little plug in it and it just twists off the shraeder valve.

EDIT: BTW, I had teh jumpy idle thing too when I turned on the AC.

Awesome, thanks. Do you think the local parts store would have one?

Maybe, maybe not. Just go to the dealership. Its only like 20 bucks, and that way its got fords name on it, not some off brand at autozone.
