Default Engine/Trans Question?

I need to get my t45 back into my 99 mustang and I know it will not fit in between the headers. I had to take the bell housing off of the trans and turn it side ways just to get it out from the car. My question is, would it be easier to take the engine out and install the trans out of the car, or is it easier to drop the k member and loosen a header? It seems very hard to drop the k member. Are there any issues when taking the engine out? Thanks.

I would say: Unbolt motor from K-member, lift engine up a little, remove a header, install tranny, mount header, lower motor, bolt back to tranny.
This way you dont have to completely remove the engine. (thats alot of work though)

What headers do you have? i dont see why its being such a pain in the @ss to get your tranny back in... Pics???
