Default GT Headers

Im looking into install headers and then later on redoing the mid pipe & exhaust. But Im interested in purchasing a BBK header for my 04 GT. How easy from 1-10 (1 being easy) is it to install a BBK GT headers? Then would I need to purchase anythang in addition for installation or will the shorty headers fit directly to it "it" being mostly stock. Thanks

It's a PITA but I think it's worth it. Hopefully you all ready know you'll need to disconnect the engine mount and and lift the engine a bit.

I can't just lift the car? I gotta lift the engine out itself?

u didnt say what type of header, lt or shorties. im assuming a shorty b/c u are not planing on changing the mid pipe. for shorties you dont have to disconnect the engine mounts but it helps. just get the car on the lift, if you have access, drop the midpipe and undo the stock manifolds. just be careful that you dont bust and bolts and make sure to put a lot of lube on the egr tube connection on the exhaust manifold. it u want to make it easier, just undo the motor mount bolts and tilt the engine over slightly with a jack to give u better room.

Its a bitch! If I were you I would save up and just get long tubes with a shorty mid-pipe. You won't regret it.

i heard so much bad feedback about BBK in general. all their products suck. save up, get MAC long tunes, MAC shorty prochamber and flowmaster 40's . that will give you a decent roar. on a scale 1-10 i would say 9.5. it's very hard, and i wouldn't do it myself. rather give it to someone

If your going to put headers on put long tubes on shorties suck @$$. MAC, SLP, JBA and a few others make nice LT's, and shorty mid pipes.
