Default 4 cylinder fox springs on 99-04 GT

So right now my suspension is all stock except for subframe connectors and I just spent over $100 on a new rear end after breaking down about 2 weeks ago. I wanna do suspension next. Basically I go to the track often and this car is my DD so I want to have a streetable drag kinda theme.

I've heard that 4 cylinder fox springs are great for 99-04 GT's for weight transfer but I was wondering how streetable they are? I just purchased a pair of them off a friend for $40 and just for ****s and giggles I am thinking about putting them on and using them with my stock struts for now.

Will I get any benefits from them? Will it be way too soft for the street? I've been under the impression that some 4 cylinder fox springs along with some lakewood struts in the firmest setting will make it streetable too.

Thanks,
Brandon

I could be wrong, but I believe a few of our members have run fox 4cyl's up front with 90/10s and driven them on the street, I know for certain there are a few DDing 90/10s. I think when it comes to your front suspension, you can DD a fairly soft setup, just be mindful of it.

I have 4 cyl. springs on my 03 GT as well as no sway bar and Strang 10 way adjustables and its very manageable on the street. I leave my struts on the softest setting most of the time, but when I have them an are hard setting I can drive it like it was stock. You will be fine with the springs up front...as long as you remember that when youre driving youll be fine...

Thanks guys.

I heard with the 4 cyl springs I will be sitting an inch lower than stock too? Can anyone confirm this for me?

Thanks

Can anyone help me out?

I'm probably gonna order some struts to put in with the springs....mightaswell since it will be out. I heard that if I am going with any lowering spring then I should go with fox struts/shocks. Is that true? do fox front springs constitute as lowering springs? since I heard it lowers your front like an inch too.

And 03greyGT did you cut the fox springs or is that how it will look? in your sig?

Thanks,
Brandon
