I have an 00 Mustang GT, it died on me a couple days ago so i changed the battery. I drove it for about an hour or so and then it died again, so i thought it might be the alternator. I changed the alternator and it still dies after about an half hour. I have the MACH 460 stereo and i swapped it out for an aftermarket a couple days ago and all this started happening after the new radio. not sure if its because of the radio or not but i disconnected it and the car still dies. Also my dash lights will not turn on i think it is a fuse but i dont think a fuse can also cause my car to run and then die. does anyone know what could be causing this??????

 

Check the ground on your radio. Sounds like it's drawing power still.

You can likely count on the radio being the problem since it mysteriously showed up after installing it
