Default Service Engine Soon - Codes

My service engine light came on, so I had autozone put it on the pc. It came back with two Codes

P0174 - Lean Bank 2

P1151 - Air metering control

Can anyone go into detail what these codes mean?

thanks

Your a/f mixture is slightly off causing a lean burn condition. MAF sensor could be causing it or a leak in the induction system.

Does it idle okay?
Does it feel like it's bogging when you gun it?

The MAF sensor is that screen that is in the intake pipe right after your air filter box. If it's got dirt or oil on it, it shoudl be cleaned or a leak in the intake tube to the manifold.

My guess is that you have an aftermarket filter that uses oil, some of that may have gotten onto the MAF sensor and is causing it to misread.

Check everything from the air filter box to the intake. It should be clean inside and out and nice and tight.
