Default ? about pcm

Just wondering if anyone else that has a 98 gt has a sticker under the hook of the car that says high performance computer and many parts covered by a 50,000 mile warranty. Trying to figure out if the pcm was worked or is that the norm on these cars.

I would think it would need to be reflashed to stock if it has been tuned already and you want to use the Hypertech. Don't think it will work unless the brains are stock. Not really sure though cause I'm not too heavy on that type stuff.

Well what do you have done, and if all you have is U/D pulleys and a CAI, then it doesnt need to be tuned and why would someone?

I was able to get a hypertech chip for the car for real cheap off of ebay so i wanted to install it to see what it would do, I think even with minor mods its suppose to give a few more extra hp with the tune in the chip. From what i understand i think its suppose to do something the the speed limiter also like up the amount of mph the car can go to what high performance tires are rated for, and i think its suppose to do something with the shift points in the tranny. Im just looking to give it a lil extra hp right now until i can get my exhaust done etc. The car had 2 owners before me so thats why im not sure if the car has had a tune before.
