When I got my car tuned the tuner said I should have the IAT sensor after the intercooler. He ask me to move the IAT sensor but I never did. What did the tuner meant by "after the intercooler"?

Without meaning to sound facetious, he meant "after the intercooler".

Without knowing exactly how your f/i system is set up it's not really possible to say exactly where the IAT sensor should be moved to, however "after the intercooler" will be some location in the intake plumbing between the intercooler and the throttle body...

I know what "before" and "after" means; however, when referring to a system I wasn't sure if you start counting from the air filter or the the throttle body. I have a 97' GT with a procharger and the three core intercooler.

When dealing with any system that has something flowing through, it in one direction, "before" any component is the upstream side, "after" any component is the downstream side.
